The founders of the club, sailors who owned and sailed 26' Clipper sailboats, named the club for their sailboats. Over the years, the club has morphed into a sailing group which generally owns and sails boats in the range of 33 to 44 ft. length overall. Some of the club history is available from scans of original documents under the About Us pull down menu. Although some of the members are interested in racing sailboats for the most part the club is focused on cruising and has an active schedule of cruises and meetings each year. Typically the club holds a cruise almost each month and has seven or eight formal meetings in addition to the cruises. The club is an active member of the Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Association and typically has a representative at each of the monthly PICYA meetings which are held at various yacht clubs around the greater bay area. We hope you enjoy browsing around our site. If your interests are in alignment with those of the club we would certainly like to have the opportunity to meet you. A list of email contacts is presented in the Contact Us menu selection. |
